Definitely one of the top choices to play with friends. Dobble is great for young kids and older relatives alike, it’s super easy to learn and can bring hours of fun. It’s also super cheap to, so even if you only play it over Christmas, it’s worth buying.

In Dobble, each player starts with a card. A new card is drawn from the deck and placed in the middle, and the first person to shout the item that appears both on their card, and the card in the middle, gets that card. The winner is the person with the most cards at the end of the game.

Cash N Guns

Not quite as straight forward as Dobble, but not many games are, Cash N Guns pits the nerves of each player against each other in a Mexican stand off.

Each round, players choose a target and a bullet (either live or blank). Once the guns have been aimed, each player has the opportunity of ducking out to prevent being shot, however if they do, they miss out on the loot for that round. The player with the most loot after 8 rounds wins the game.

Cash N Guns is a lot of fun, and is suitable for up to 8 players, so great for when friends visit.

The Resistance

The Resistance

This is where things get complicated. Resistance is an excellent party game, but can take a bit of learning. Players take the role of either Resistance Operatives or Imperial Spies.

Each round there is a mission leader that determines who should go on the mission. Each player that is on the mission then secretly chooses a card. If they are a resistance operative, they must pass the mission, but if they are a spy then can choose to fail the mission. the spies win once a certain number of missions has failed, and it is the job of the resistance operatives to try and determine who the spies and and ensure they are not put on future missions.

Of course this is only a small selection of the party games available, there is literally hundreds to choose from.
